The problem of “knowledge surviving” in the context of the succession principle in the chemical education

The realization of the succession principle in the education, particularly in the chemical one, means that the sum of key knowledge and competences received by the students on the earlier stages of training becomes the base of the good perception of more complicated courses on the latest stages. The assimilated information as a result of the complex interaction with the newly received data may be extended, developed and enriched in its content. However, the problem of so-called ”knowledge surviving” arises therewith, which is connected with the natural ability of the human mind to forget the part of data, especially under the pressure of the growing information flow. The report deals with the analysis of this problem, using the materials of chemical department students testing for the “residual knowledge” on the basic chemical disciplines (inorganics, organics, analytical and quantum chemistry).Осуществление принципа преемственности в образовании, в частности, в химическом, предполагает, что знания, умения и навыки, полученные учащимися на начальных стадиях обучения, на последующих стадиях становятся основой для восприятия новой информации, вступают с ней в сложное взаимодействие, в результате чего формируются новые знания (компетенции) более высокого уровня. При этом неизбежно возникает проблема так называемой “выживаемости знаний”, связанная с неотъемлемой способностью человеческого мозга забывать полученные сведения, особенно под напором возрастающего потока новой информации. В работе проведен анализ некоторых аспектов этой проблемы на примере результатов контроля уровня “остаточных знаний” у студентов химического факультета по основным химическим дисциплинам (неорганичекой, органической, аналитической и квантовой химии)
